Friends of Stone Station is a newly formed group of volunteers who want to encourage train use at Stone Station and maintain and enhance the appearance of the station and its surroundings.
We hope to arrange work parties throughout the year. We may be out litter picking, planting and watering floral displays or tackling larger jobs such as painting or repairing fences. The list is as long as we want to make it! And we want to make sure that everyone knows about our train services - so we may be putting up posters or delivering leaflets. So there is certain to be a job for you even if it making the tea!
We also plan to hold regular meetings so that we can keep in touch with passengers and their experiences. And we shall be working closely with our train operator, London Midland.
